ASSURED GUARANTY CORP.
Assured Guaranty, a subsidiary of Assured Guaranty Ltd(AGO.N: Quote, Profile, Research), said it appointed Christopher Mortello to the positionof managing director of structured finance surveillance. Hewill oversee the company’s asset-backed securities (ABS) andresidential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) portfolios.
Mortello, who previously worked for more than 10 years atAssured underwriting structured finance transactions, hasreturned to the company. He most recently worked as head of ABSat PMI Guaranty Co.
JOHN HANCOCK FINANCIAL SERVICES INC
Allan Hackney has joined John Hancock Financial as seniorvice president and chief information officer. Hisresponsibilities will include all information technologyoperations, including for the U.S. wealth and U.S. insurancedivisions, the company said. Previously, Hackney was chiefinformation officer at AIG Consumer Finance Group.
WJB CAPITAL GROUP INC
WJB Capital, a privately held institutional broker-dealer,said it hired Brian Reynolds as its chief market strategist. Herecently held the positions of the chief market strategist atM.S. Howells & Co, chief strategist at Kirlin Securities Incand as the fixed income and economic columnist forTheStreet.com and Minyanville, WJB Capital said.
