Russia Vimpelcom buys Corbina stake for $404 mln

MOSCOW, June 3 (Reuters) - Vimpelcom (VIP.N: Quote, Profile, Research), Russia’ssecond-biggest cellphone operator, said on Tuesday it had signeda deal to buy the remaining 49 percent of Internet providerCorbina it does not already own for around $404 million.

Vimpelcom, majority owned by Russia’s Alfa Group andNorway’s Telenor (TEL.OL: Quote, Profile, Research), currently has 51 percent in Corbinaand will buy the remaining stake from Inure Enterprises. (Reporting by Maria Kiselyova, editing by Gleb Bryanski)
