UK’s 888 says Q2 operating income up 36 percent
August 4th, 2008 | by admin |LONDON, Aug 4 (Reuters) – British online gaming company 888Holdings (888.L: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said on Monday its second-quarter operatingincome rose 36 percent, helped by growth in customer numbers.
888 said total operating income for the three months to June30 was $69 million, up from $51 million a year earlier, whilenet gaming revenues rose 33 percent to $67 million.
888 had a total of 214,725 active customers using its onlinecasino and poker games, an increase of 3 percent on the sameperiod a year earlier, the company added. (Reporting by Myles Neligan; editing by Sue Thomas)
