UPDATE 2-Air traffic delayed at U.S. airports – FAA site

WASHINGTON, Aug 26 (Reuters) – Air traffic at more than twodozen major airports across the United States was delayed onTuesday afternoon due to a communications network problem,according to the Federal Aviation Administration’s website.
The Department of Homeland Security declined to comment,referring calls to the FAA.
CNN said air safety was not affected and the FAA has notlost contact with any of the 5,825 flights in the air.
The computer glitch occurred at an FAA facility south ofAtlanta, CNN reported.
