Shell-led JV restarting Norco, Louisiana, refinery

NEW YORK, Sept 5 (Reuters) - Motiva Enterprises, therefining joint venture between Royal Dutch Shell Plc (RDSa.L: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz)and Saudi Aramco, has begun restarting its 240,000 barrels perday refinery in Norco, Louisiana, which was shut last weekahead of Hurricane Gustav, Shell said on its website Friday.

Shell said the Norco plant should begin to produce gasolineas early as Sunday.

Shell said Motiva’s refinery in Convent, Louisiana, wascontinuing to repair damaged power lines and expected torestart some units next week. (Reporting by Robert Campbell)
